Digging for Spiritual Gems: (10 min.)

Ge 13:8, 9—How can we imitate Abraham when resolving disputes? (w16.05 5 ¶12

12 A Scriptural account in which God’s servants peacefully resolved a potentially divisive issue is the one mentioned earlier involving Abraham and his nephew Lot. Both men possessed livestock, and their shepherds apparently quarreled about grazing land. Eager to eliminate tensions, Abraham offered Lot first choice of the areas where their respective households would settle. (Gen. 13:1, 2, 5-9) What a good example! Abraham sought peace, not his own interests. Did he lose out because of his generosity? Not at all. Immediately after this incident with Lot, Jehovah promised Abraham great blessings. (Gen. 13:14-17) God will never allow his servants to suffer lasting loss for acting in harmony with divine principles and settling differences in a spirit of love.[1]

Ge 14:18-20—How did Levi pay “tithes through Abraham”? (Heb 7:4-10; it-2 683 ¶1)      Melchizedek king of Salem was a priest (ko·henʹ) extraordinary. The Bible gives no record of his ancestry, his birth, or his death. His priesthood was not by inheritance, and he had no predecessors or successors in office. Melchizedek held both the office of king and of priest. His priesthood was greater than the Levitical priesthood, for Levi, in effect, paid tithes to Melchizedek, since he was still in the loins of Abraham when Abraham offered tithes to Melchizedek and was blessed by him. (Ge 14:18-20; Heb 7:4-10) In these things Melchizedek foreshadowed Jesus Christ, the “priest forever according to the manner of Melchizedek.”—Heb 7:17.

What spiritual gems from this week’s Bible reading would you like to share regarding Jehovah God, the field ministry, or something else?

Ge 12:1:  Abram was old and childless when his faith in Jehovah was test when he was asked to go to a land he never been before. This took real faith, love and trust for Abram to leave prosperous Ur and all its comforts. Good example to keep mind when Jehovah asked us to go preach to people we do not know, for Abram did just so. (1Jo 2:16)

Ge 12:1-3:  Abrahamic covenant went into effect when Abraham crossed the Euphrates on his way to Canaan on Nisan 14, 1943 B.C.E: 430 years before Israel was delivered from Egypt. (Ex 12:2, 6-7, 40-41) It remains in effect until the blessing of the families of the earth and the destruction of all God’s enemies has been accomplished. (Ge 17:7; 1Co 15:23-26)

Ge 12:5: Those people that went with were most likely servants. However, Abraham and Sarah doubtless shared their faith with those who were willing to listen. Some ancient Jewish pa-raph-ra-ses say the people referred to were also proselytes: people who had joined Abraham and Sarah in worshipping Jehovah. When we learn something good from the Bible, could we share it with someone? (wp17 No. 3 p. 14 “What a Beautiful Woman You Are”)

Ge 12:7:  Jehovah the revealer of secrets, for we are now starting to get a glimpse of where the promise seed or offspring of Ge 3:15 is to come from Abraham to bless all who put faith and doing the will of Jehovah.

Ge 12:11-13:  Abraham was neither a liar nor a coward, as some critics have charged because Sarah was his half sister. Abraham was being caution for he knew that nothing was more important than God’s purpose to produce a special offspring or seed that the nations would be bless. We need to be cautious when persecution breaks out for the safe of our friends.

Ge 12:14-20:  Jehovah took it upon himself to become a secure dwelling for Abraham and for his descendants. (Ge 12:3) Jehovah fulfilled his promise when he prevented Pharaoh of Egypt from violating Sarah and doing away with Abraham. We can sure that Jehovah will do the same for those doing his will. (Ps 105:14-15)

Ge 13:4: Abram gave priority to Jehovah’s worship wherever he went.  We to can follow his example when we take a trip or vacation by leaving a tracts or witnessing, or maybe visiting a Kingdom Hall or Conventions in other areas where we are staying.

Ge 13:8-9:  What a beautiful model Abraham provides in handling differences! Never should we sacrifice peaceful relationships for the sake of financial gain, personal preferences, or pride.

Ge 13:10-11:  A warning for us to be careful of being seduce by the beautiful of materialism for righteous Lot chose well-watered region and cities without counsel from the order men or did not defer to Abram in this matter. Today, what seem good can lead one away from their relationship with Jehovah. May we heed the warning found at 1Jo 2:15-17 so that we do not pass away with this world. (Eze 16:48-50)

Ge 14:14-17, 20:  We must have the faith, trust and courage like Abram had in Jehovah if we want to survive Satan world. We see here Abram was going against an army that the combined forces of Canaan were unable to defeat and his vastly outnumbered troops. Yet we see that Jehovah know how to protect and deliver his faith servants. (2Pe 2:9; Ps 34:19; 1Co 10:13; 2Ti 4:18; Re 3:10)

Ge 14:19, 22: This tells us two things about Jehovah he is the Most High God which emphasizes Jehovah supreme position above all others. (Ps 83:18)  Also that Jehovah is the creator of the heaven and earth, which is why Jehovah deserves to be praises, honor and glorify. (Re 4:11, 14:7, 19:10; Mt 5:16)

Ge 14:20:  Showing respect and honor to those Jehovah selected to take the lead among his people like Abram did with King and Priest Mel·chizʹe·dek. This is what we are told at Heb 13:17 “Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among you and be submissive” and if we don’t we warn here “for this would be damaging to you.” (Eph 5:21; 1Pe 5:5; 1Th 5:12)

Digging for Spiritual Gems: January 27–February 2 GENESIS 9-11

GENESIS 9-11

Digging for Spiritual Gems

Ge 9:20-22, 24, 25—Why might Noah have cursed Canaan instead of Ham? (it-1 1023 ¶4)
It is possible that Canaan himself had been involved directly in the incident and that his father Ham had failed to correct him. Or Noah, speaking prophetically by inspiration, foresaw that the bad tendency in Ham, perhaps already manifest in his son Canaan, would be inherited by Canaan’s offspring. The curse was partly fulfilled when the Semitic Israelites subjugated the Canaanites. Those who were not destroyed (for example, the Gibeonites [Jos 9]) were made slaves to Israel. Centuries later, the curse was further fulfilled when descendants of Ham’s son Canaan came under the domination of the Japhetic world powers of Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome.
Ge 10:9, 10—How was Nimrod “a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah”? (it-2 503)
The beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom included the cities of Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, all in the land of Shinar. (Ge 10:10) Therefore it was likely under his direction that the building of Babel and its tower began. This conclusion is also in agreement with the traditional Jewish view. Wrote Josephus: “[Nimrod] little by little transformed the state of affairs into a tyranny, holding that the only way to detach men from the fear of God was by making them continuously dependent upon his own power. He threatened to have his revenge on God if He wished to inundate the earth again; for he would build a tower higher than the water could reach and avenge the destruction of their forefathers. The people were eager to follow this advice of [Nimrod], deeming it slavery to submit to God; so they set out to build the tower . . . and it rose with a speed beyond all expectation.”—Jewish Antiquities, I, 114, 115 (iv, 2, 3).
What spiritual gems from this week’s Bible reading would you like to share regarding Jehovah God, the field ministry, or something else?
Ge 9:1, 7:  Jehovah showed he cared and his purposed to have the earth fill with humans, but a day will come when the earth will be filled with perfect and loyal humans. Nothing can stop Jehovah from fulfilling his words that he spoke at Ge 1:28 before Adam and Eve sin.
Ge 9:3-5:  After the Flood, Jehovah gave humans permission to eat the flesh of animals but not the blood. This command applies to all of Noah’s descendants’ right down to our day. This is showing life, or soul, of all creatures is represented by the blood. Also this establishes that Jehovah, the Source of life, will hold to account all humans who disrespect life and blood.
Ge 9:6:  Jehovah reminds mankind how precious life is, showing that he will hold the murder who shed man’s blood responsible. Jehovah did not change for we see in the sixth of the Ten Commandments declared, “You must not murder,” and calls for punishment action. (Ex 20:13; 21:12; De 21:1-9; Heb 10:30)
Ge 9:8-17: The rainbow covenant was made between Jehovah God and all flesh (human and animal), in 2369 B.C.E.. Jehovah stated that he would never again destroy all flesh by means of a flood. The rainbow was then given as a sign of the covenant, which endures as long as mankind lives on earth forever. (Ps 37:29)
Ge 9:20-21: Warning not to jumping to wrong conclusion about Noah being a drunkard. Nothing in Bible indicate Noah was habitually drinking wine to the point of intoxication. Maybe in this situation the wine Noah drank had fermented to greater strength than he realized. Yes, making judgments of our brothers or sister without knowing the true fact can bring Jehovah judgment upon us. (Mt 7:1-2; Jas 2:13)
Ge 9:24-25: Very likely Canaan was curse because guilty of some abuse or perversion against his grandfather Noah. Though Canaan’s father, Ham, witnessed this, he did not interfere but appears to have spread the story. (WT04 1/1 p. 31 par 2)
Ge 10:1-32:  The two records of genealogy records surrounding the account of the Flood connect the entire human race with Noah’s three sons. Assyrians, Chaldeans, Hebrews, Syrians, and some Arabian tribes, are descendants of Shem. Ethiopians, Egyptians, Canaanites, and some African and Arabian tribes descended from Ham. Indo-Europeans are descendants of Japheth. All humans are related, and all are born equal before Jehovah. (Acts 17:26) This truth must affect how we view and treat others.
Ge 10:8-9: Jehovah’s words at Ge 8:21 about human is true for it said:”the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up.” Yes, we see that Noah grandson Nimrod stand against Jehovah became a mighty one and expanse his kingdom which indicate he was a king and Jehovah had never intended that humans rule themselves. (Ec 8:9)
Ge 11:1: All mankind “continued to be of one language and of one set of words.” The Bible indicates that the language later called Hebrew was that original “one language.” This does not mean that all other languages stemmed from and are related to Hebrew but that Hebrew preceded all other languages. (it-2 p. 202 Language)
Ge 11:5-9:  No human scheme or effort can thwart Jehovah’s purpose. Nimrod thought he could in opposition to Jehovah’s direction to fill the earth by building a cities and tower so that they would not “be scattered over all the surface of the earth.”
Ge 11:27-32:  To find the correct age of Terah at the birth of Abraham, we need only to read on in the Bible narrative. We learn that after Terah’s death at the age of 205, Abraham and his family left Haran at Jehovah’s bidding. At that time Abraham was 75 years old so, Abram must have been born when Terah was 130 years old, rather than 70.

Our Christian Life and Ministry—Meeting Workbook—2020

January 20-26  –  GENESIS 6-8

Digging for Spiritual Gems: (10 min.)
Ge 7:2—What evidently was the basis for the distinction between clean and unclean animals? (w04 1/1 29 ¶7)
7:2—What was used as a basis for making a distinction between clean and unclean animals? The basis of distinction evidently pertained to the use of sacrifices in worship and not to what could and could not be eaten. Animal flesh was not a part of man’s diet prior to the Flood. The designations “clean” and “unclean” for food came into existence only with the Mosaic Law, and they ended when it was abolished. (Acts 10:9-16; Ephesians 2:15) Apparently, Noah knew what was suitable for sacrifice in the worship of Jehovah. As soon as he left the ark, he “began to build an altar to Jehovah and to take some of all the clean beasts and of all the clean flying creatures and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar.”—Genesis 8:20.
Ge 7:11—Where apparently did the water that caused the global Flood come from? (w04 1/1 30 ¶1)
7:11—Where did the water causing the global Flood come from? During the second creative period, or “day,” when the earth’s atmospheric “expanse” was formed, there were waters “beneath the expanse” and waters “above the expanse.” (Genesis 1:6, 7) The waters “beneath” were those already on earth. The waters “above” were huge quantities of moisture suspended high above the earth, forming a “vast watery deep.” These waters fell upon the earth in Noah’s day.
What spiritual gems from this week’s Bible reading would you like to share regarding Jehovah God, the field ministry, or something else?
Ge 6:2:  Sons of the true God are the angelic sons who disobey Jehovah left their position in heaven. The reason we know they angels is because the same term is use in Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7; and Psalm 89:6.  “The sons of the true God” at Job 1:6 were clearly show spirit creatures assembled in God’s presence is a fact.
Ge 6:3:  Show that Jehovah’s patience has limited with it comes to wickedness that is on this earth in Noah’s days. According to 1Pe 3:20 God was patiently waiting in Noah’s day, for ark was being constructed and only souls. We can sure just as it was in Noah’s day Jehovah patience is running out for the wicked.
Ge 6:4-5: Jehovah announced his purpose to bring about this act of destruction by a global flood because of badness manifested itself in two ways, first by the violence display and second by its perverted sex. Today we see a very similar situation in the world and good reason to bring an end of wickedness. (Mt 24:38-39)
Ge 6:6: Jehovah has feeling and we can make Jehovah heart rejoice or feel regret or sadness as most did in Noah’s days and they became his enemy. We can make Jehovah rejoice by being faithful and doing his will like Noah did just so.(Pr 27:11;Ps 78:40-41; Isa 63:10)
Ge 6:7: Jehovah’s word always comes true, I am going to wipe men, domestic animals, creeping animals, and flying creatures. This all happen exactly like Jehovah said it would when the flood occur. Good reason to trust Jehovah’s Word for there is another day of destruction but only for the wicked.
Ge 6:9: We are told “Noah walked with the true God,” he did this by obeyed Jehovah so closely and loved him so dearly that it was as if he and Jehovah walked together as friends. This should encourage us that an imperfect person can walk with Jehovah and be righteous and we can do the same if we put Jehovah first in our life.
Ge 6:11-13: Back in Noah’s days men were ruining the earth by their moral corruption and violence, making the earth unclean and repugnant in God’s sight. Today, men are ruining the earth, not only in a violence and moral sense, but also in a physical sense by their polluting of its basic systems place by Jehovah that why he must bring to ruin those who are ruining the earth according to Re 11:18.
Ge 6:14-16: A great work was lay upon Noah and seven other with no power tools, heavy duty equipments to build a Ark that was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high, with three stories and many rooms inside. What faith Noah show and trust in Jehovah to do just so. May we have that same faith and trust in Jehovah so we can survive these last days.
Ge 6:22:  Although it took many years to build the ark, Noah did just what God had commanded. Noah and his family were therefore preserved through the Deluge. Jehovah speaks to us through his written Word and gives direction through his organization. It is to our benefit to listen and obey.
Ge 7:10-16:  Jehovah times has comes to fulfilled his prophecy that Noah and his family and all those of its kind will survive and be save. We can be sure what is found at 2Pe 3:5-7 of the destruction of the ungodly only and all righteous one who do the will of Jehovah will survive. (Mt 7:21)
Ge 7:21-24:  Jehovah does not destroy the righteous along with the wicked. We can be sure that Jehovah will not destroy the righteous at Armageddon for we are told at Ps 37:10-11 “10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; …. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
Ge 8:1-2: See the power of Jehovah, that he can control global flood, which should assure us that there will be no future flooding that destroy homes and lives in the Kingdom of Jehovah.
Ge 8:15-17:  Jehovah showed he cared and purposed to have the earth continuously and permanently filled with animal and human creation when he preserved representatives of both human and animal kinds through the global flood of Noah’s day.
Ge 8:21:  A scripture to keep in mind when those feel Jehovah will burn the earth with fire. For we see here Jehovah said “Never again will I curse the ground on man’s account” show that he not going to destroy ground with fire because of mankind badness and “never again will I strike down every living thing as I have done.” The earth will not be destroy by fire because of what man does.

Digging for Spiritual Gems – January 6-12: GENESIS 1-2

Ge 1:1:  What does the Bible say about the age of the earth?

(WT15 6/1 pg 5) Scientists estimate that the earth is about 4 billion years old and that the universe was born some 13 to 14 billion years ago. The Bible sets no date for the creation of the universe. In no place does it affirm that the earth is only a few thousand years old. The very first verse in the Bible reads: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Ge 1:1) That general statement allows scientists to determine the age of the physical world according to sound scientific principles
Ge 1:26:  Was Jesus a co-Creator? (it-2 pg 52)
The Son’s share in the creative works, however, did not make him a co-Creator with his Father. The power for creation came from God through his holy spirit, or active force. (Ge 1:2; Ps 33:6 “By the word of Jehovah the heavens were made, And by the spirit of his mouth everything in them.”) And since Jehovah is the Source of all life, all animate creation, visible and invisible, owes its life to him. (Ps 36:9 “With you is the source of life; By your light we can see light.”) Rather than a co-Creator, then, the Son was the agent or instrumentality through whom Jehovah, the Creator, worked. Jesus himself credited God with the creation, as do all the Scriptures.—Mt 19:4-6 “” 4 In reply he said: “Have you not read that the one who created them from the beginning made them male and female…. 6 Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart.”

What spiritual gems from this week’s Bible reading would you like to share regarding Jehovah God, the field ministry, or something else?

Ge 1:1:  The vastness of the universe and the earth gives evidence that Jehovah’s power and energy are inexhaustible. A human craftsman uses his hands and tools to make things, but God sends forth his holy spirit to accomplish his great works, a good reason to put our trust in Jehovah can accomplish his will. (Isa 40:26)

Ge 1:3, 14-16:  One made wonder how could be light since the luminaries were not made until the fourth day? The heavens” that included the luminaries were created before the “first day” even began. So their light did not reach the surface of the earth on the first day, because of the cloud layers.

Ge 1:11-12: With 391,000 plants species in the world show that Jehovah wanted mankind to enjoy life on the earth with all beautiful plants. Also Jehovah made a law that they can only reproduced according to it kind and these plants give life on the earth by them producing oxygen and taking out carbon dioxide from the air.

Ge 1:14-18:  This describes the sun and moon as great luminaries, while many stars are far greater than our sun, and the moon are insignificant in comparison to them. This is not a contradiction because earthly observer from the earth, the sun appears to be a ‘greater light during the day’ and the moon a ‘lesser light that dominates the night.

Ge 1:20-24:  The word “soul” or Hebrew neʹphesh, as it appears three time in these verses of Bible account of creation referring to  fish, bird, or animal. This word neʹphesh is referring to a breather not a immortal soul.

Ge 1:26-27:  Being made in God’s image, humans have the capacity to reflect godly attributes. Surely we should try to cultivate such qualities as love, mercy, kindness, goodness, and patience, reflecting the One who made us.

Ge 1:26-27:  This is good scriptures to keep in mind with those out in service try used Col1:15 show that Jesus is in the image of God and that make him God. Here we see Adam was in his image and that did not make him God so neither should it make Jesus a image of someone else.

Ge 1:29-30: Here we see humans and ‘flying creatures and all moving animals of the ground’ were obliged to live on vegetable matter exclusively. So there was no need of fear between perfect humans and the flying creatures and all moving animals.

Ge 2:2-3:  The word ”rest” does not mean that Jehovah has stopped working altogether as John 5:17 shows “My Father has kept working until now, and I keep working.” His rest, simply refer to the ending his work of physical creation respecting the earth. Jehovah is still working on bringing his purposes to fulfillment his word toward the earth. (Ps 92:4)

Ge 2:7:  Does not teach that human have an immoral soul. The expression “a living person” is translated from the Hebrew word ne’phesh, which literally means “a breathing creature.” It clearly states that “man came to be a living soul, not he has a living soul. Alsoimmoral soul would mean there is no need for the resurrection.

Ge 2:16-17:  For the human family to be genuinely happy they must have a good relationship with God and it must be voluntary. Jehovah did not deprive man of freedom, for they had abundance of delightful food of all kinds to eat without eating the fruit of that one tree. (Ge 2:8-9) The earth belongs to Jehovah; since he created it and has the right to make laws that suit his purpose and that benefit mankind. (Ps 24:1, 10)

Ge 2:19: Show Jehovah gave Adam the ability, not only to speak and understand speech, but also to form new words, thus adding to the language, as he did in naming the animals.
Also the fact that Jehovah instructed Adam in the work to filling the earth showed that God had provided Adam with the necessary vocabulary and knowledge of language to permit him to comprehend his instructions.

Ge 2:20, 23: The expression “This is at last bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh,” does not give any indication that Adam was to be a dictator over an inferior. Also show she is something to be cherished and cared for even as his own body. This is what husbands should be doing today according to Eph. 5:28-29.

Ge 2:22-24: Marriage is Jehovah’s arrangement. The marriage bond is permanent and sacred, with the husband serving as head of the family. Even Jesus gave credited to Jehovah as forming the first marriage at Mt 19:4-6.

Digging for Spiritual Gems – December 23-29, 2019 REVELATION 17-19

December 23-29, 2019
REVELATION 17-19
Re 17:8—Explain how “the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present.” (re 247-248 ¶5-6)
5 “The wild beast . . . was.” Yes, it had existed as the League of Nations from January 10, 1920, onward, with 63 nations participating at one time or another. But, in turn, Japan, Germany, and Italy withdrew, and the former Soviet Union was dropped from the League. In September 1939 the Nazi dictator of Germany launched World War II.* Having failed to keep peace in the world, the League of Nations virtually plunged into an abyss of inactivity. By 1942 it had become a has-been. Neither before this nor at some later date—but right at that critical time—did Jehovah interpret to his people the full depth of meaning of the vision! At the New World Theocratic Assembly, N. H. Knorr could declare, in line with the prophecy, that “the wild beast . . . is not.” He then asked the question, “Will the League remain in the pit?” Quoting Revelation 17:8, he answered: “The association of worldly nations will rise again.” That is just how it proved to be—in vindication of Jehovah’s prophetic Word!
6 The scarlet-colored wild beast did indeed climb out of the abyss. On June 26, 1945, with noisy fanfare in San Francisco, U.S.A., 50 nations voted to accept the Charter of the United Nations organization. This body was “to maintain international peace and security.” There were many similarities between the League and the UN. The World Book Encyclopedia notes: “In some ways, the UN resembles the League of Nations, which was organized after World War I . . . Many of the nations that founded the UN had also founded the League. Like the League, the UN was established to help keep peace between nations. The main organs of the UN are much like those of the League.” The UN, then, is actually a revival of the scarlet-colored wild beast. Its membership of some 190 nations far exceeds that of the League’s 63; it has also taken on broader responsibilities than its predecessor.
Re 17:16, 17—How do we know that false religion will not simply fade away? (w12 6/15 18 ¶17)
17 False religion, however, will not just fade away. The harlot will remain a potent force, attempting to bend kings to her will until God plants an idea in the hearts of those in power. (Read Revelation 17:16, 17.) Soon Jehovah will cause the political elements of Satan’s system, as represented by the United Nations, to attack false religion. They will destroy her influence and devastate her riches. Such an event may have seemed unlikely just decades ago. Today, the harlot teeters on the back of the scarlet-colored beast. Even so, she will not slip slowly from her seat. Her tumble will be sudden and violent.—Rev. 18:7, 8,15-19.
What does this week’s Bible reading teach me about Jehovah?
Re 17:3, 5:  Only Jehovah “the wisdom from above” can help us to understand “the mystery of the woman and of the [scarlet-colored] wild beast that is carrying her.” (Jas. 3:17) The unraveling of this mystery should move us to be zealous in preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom and proclaiming the day of Jehovah’s judgment.
Re 17:8:  Jehovah has a figurative or symbolic book or scroll of life is to be view those who will rewarded with eternal life. Here we see those who are not written in scroll of life means destruction. Also the Scriptures indicate that a person’s name can be ‘wiped out’ of it, so we need to continue to be faithful to Jehovah. (Ex 32:32, 33; Re 3:5)
Re 17:9-10:  Jehovah has the ability to see and predicted world government changes and up till God’s Kingdom. That is why we need to put our trust in Jehovah who can save us through the great tribulation. (Da 2:36-44, 7:1-8)
Re 17:17:  Show that Jehovah has the power to control hearts of men to carry out his thought or his will.  This show that no one can stop his will from being done on this earth or heaven. We should put our trust in the one who will free mankind of all wickedness and rewarding those who remain faithful.
Re 18:4-5, 8:  Jehovah gives all true worshipers warning to completely get out of all false religions, if we do not want to be destroy with Babylon the Great. Those who stay will become a enemy of Jehovah as Jas 4:4 show and in the pass it shows all enemies were destroyed.
Re 18:20:  Jehovah the God of justice avenges his faithful worshipers who have suffered at the hands of Babylon the Great. A rightful cause for gladness and step closer of Jehovah vindicating his name and sovereignty.
Re 19:1-3:  Show that Jehovah still wants his name to be praise and has give us another reason to praise his name because he brought end to Babylon the great too it end killer of his prophets, apostles and holy ones and those of the great crowd. (John 12:28, 17:6. 26)
Re 19:4, 10: Show it is Jehovah we should worship not Jesus, and even Jesus told us at Lu 4:8 “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” (Ex 34:14; Isa 42:8; Mt 4:10)
Re 19:6:  Jehovah is God “the Almighty,” which means that Jehovah is more powerful than anyone else in the universe. All his wonderful works of creation and dealings with mankind should encourage us to glorify his name and do his will. (Re 4:11)
Re 19:9:  Jehovah “saying” is true means “genuine” or “dependable.” Since these sayings are really from Jehovah, they are faithful and reliable. Also mean that all that Jehovah said he is going to do will happen and on time. (Isa 55:11; Hab 2:3)
Re 19:15,17-20:   Jehovah has wrath or anger which is always justified, being based on principle dictated by his right to exclusive devotion and his constancy in upholding truth; it is governed by his love for righteousness and for those practicing righteousness. That why he must bring every trace of the rebellious world in opposition to his will to their end.

Re 17:1, 6:  Babylon the Great has brought much reproach on God’s name. She has taught lies about God. She has prostituted herself spiritually by forming alliances with earth’s rulers. And she has spilled much blood, including the blood of God’s servants.
Re 17:2, 18:10:  The woman named Babylon the Great is not a political empire because God’s Word states that “the kings of the earth,” or the political elements of this world, “committed sexual immorality” with her and mourned her death. (Jas 4:4)
Re 17:4-6: Babylon the Great is dressed in “purple and scarlet,” the colors of royalty, and is adorned with precious stone, indication of riches made over those she dominate over. Also the oceans of blood she help spill with abortions, wars and attack on Jehovah’s servants.
Re 17:9-10:  Dealing with six world powers are mentioned as having an impact on the affairs of God’s people: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and the Rome is the present world power. The seven is the Anglo-American World Power has been proven from scriptures like Da 2:33, 7:1-8; Re 13:11. (Isa 46:10)
Re 17:14: Those with him who are called and chosen and faithful will do so,” are the 144,000 corulers in heaven with Jesus.  Jesus and they will come to the rescue of God’s people here on earth and will conquer all the evil on this earth. May we be encourage by this and stay close to Jehovah.
Re 18:3, 11:  The woman named Babylon the Great cannot be commercial and business elements of this world since merchants of the earth became rich by her and weep over her destruction.
Re 18:23:  This verse helps us to clearly see Babylon the Great must symbolize a religious entity because of her “spiritistic practice” and sit on many water. Also because of previous verses show she is not a political empire and be commercial and business elements of this world so that leave only religions. (Re 17:2, 18:10 Re 18:3, 11)
Re 19:6:  Jehovah began to rule as king because he will no longer have that presumptuous rival to detract from obedience to him as the Universal Sovereign. Yes all false religions or Babylon the Great is destroyed.
Re 19:10:  These words “the witnessing concerning Jesus is what inspires prophecy,”    indicate that Jesus is the central figure in the outworking of the many prophecies in the Bible like Ge 3:15. Bible prophecies can be correctly understood only when the role of Jesus in connection with the Messianic Kingdom is taken into consideration.
Re 19:11-12:  The rider of the whites horse must be Jesus because the ride is call “Faithful and True,” and at Re 3:14 Jesus is call “the faithful and true witness” (Re 1:5; 1Ti 6:13; John 1:14) Jesus makes war in order to execute Jehovah’s righteous judgments as a “Mighty God.”. (Isa 9:6)

Digging for Spiritual Gems: December 16-22 – REVELATION 13-16

December 16-22
REVELATION 13-16
Re 16:13, 14—How will the nations be gathered for “the war of the great day of God the Almighty”? (w09 2/15 4 ¶5)
16:13-16. “Unclean inspired expressions” symbolize demonic propaganda intended to ensure that the kings of the earth are not swayed by the pouring out of the seven bowls of God’s anger but instead are maneuvered into opposition to Jehovah.—Matt. 24:42, 44.
Re 16:21—What message will we no doubt declare just prior to the end of Satan’s world? (w15 7/15 16 ¶9)
9 This will not be the time to preach the “good news of the Kingdom.” That time will have passed. The time for “the end” will have come! (Matt. 24:14) No doubt God’s people will proclaim a hard-hitting judgment message. This may well involve a declaration announcing that Satan’s wicked world is about to come to its complete end. The Bible likens this message to hailstones when it says: “Great hailstones, each about the weight of a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, for the plague was unusually great.”—Rev. 16:21.
What does this week’s Bible reading teach me about Jehovah?
Re 13:6: Jehovah’s name is very sacred to him and will punish those abuse it and at the end he will destroy all who do not know. At Le 24:16 we are told: ”So the abuser of Jehovah’s name should be put to death without fail.”  Yes we are told at 2Th 1:8-9 they “. . . will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction.”  May we never disrespect Jehovah name.
Re 14:6:  Jehovah has a work for his faithful servants to preach to “all the inhabited earth for a witness.” (Mt 24:14) Yet because of Jehovah’s love and purpose he assigns his angels to help his servants to complete the preaching work. This should encourage us to preach because we are not alone; we have Jehovah on our side. (Ps 118:6; Isa 51:12; Ro 8:31)
Re 14:7:  Jehovah should be fear because he bring “the hour of the judgment.”  We need to recognize that Jehovah is the Universal Sovereign; we can honor him by willingly submitting to him, doing his will, and worshiping him the way he wants. (Pr 8:13; Mt 7:21-23; Jas 2:19-20
Re 14:9-10;15:7;16:1:  Jehovah has anger especially toward those who worship the “wild beast and its image,” which are symbols of human rulership, which does not acknowledge Jehovah’s sovereignty. True servants know that God’s Kingdom has already been set up in heaven, that it will put an end to all human rulerships, and that it will stand forever. (Da 2:44)
Re 15:3-4:  Jehovah is “the Almighty,” which means that Jehovah is more powerful than anyone else in the universe. And the title “King of eternity” means that he has always existed. (Ps 90:2) All his wonderful works of creation and dealings with mankind should encourage us to glorify his name and do his will.
Re 15:8:  Jehovah has now assign the seven plagues that he will get rid of the wicked on the earth so it will be cleans, so the righteous will no longer be plague by their works of Satan’s standards that he has set on the earth. (Pr 2:22; Ps 104:35)
Re 16:4:  Jehovah is the true fountain of life, for it truths will give everlasting life to those who listen and apply it into their lives. While wisdom of this world can only bring only bring everlasting death. The wisdom of this world is foolishness with Jehovah.” (Jer 2:13; 1Co 3:19;1:19; 2:6; Ps 36:9)
Re 16:5:  Jehovah is call “the loyal One, because by destroying the wicked, Jehovah is displaying loyalty to his servants, many of whom have been persecuted to the point of death.
Re 16:7:  Jehovah is a righteous God and so we can count on Jehovah judgments to be righteous. For there is nothing hidden from Jehovah’s eyes and see all the wrong the wicked do and see all the good his servants do, (Ec 12:13-14; Ga 6:7)
Re 16:14, 16:  Jehovah has a plan to fulfil his prophecy of Da 2:44 of bring “end to all these kingdoms” of the earth. At Armageddon, God’s enemies will likewise perish, while those who love God will be saved.
What other spiritual gems have you discovered in this week’s Bible reading?
Re 13:1-4:  A wild beast” symbolizing human governments ascends “out of the sea,” that is, from the turbulent masses of mankind. (Isa 17:12-13; Da 7:2-8, 17) This beast is created and empowered by Satan. A warning for us: not to put our trust in Satan world, which is doom for destruction. (1Jo 2:17; 5:19)
Re 13:7:  We see that Satan is permitted to wage war with the holy ones for a short period of time, yet they and the great crowd must endure and have faith that Jehovah will rescue at his right time as he did with Job. (1Co 10:13; Mt 10:22)
Re 13:8: “The scroll of life of the Lamb,” is a figurative scroll containing only the names of those who rule with Jesus Christ in his heavenly Kingdom. It includes the names of anointed Christians still on earth, who have the hope of receiving life in heaven.
Re 13:9-10:  Now we are in the Lord’s Day, God’s people must hold fast to Bible principles. There will be no final escape for unrepentant ones who worship the wild beast. We will need endurance with unshakable faith, in order to survive the persecutions and trials that lie ahead. (Heb 10:36-39; 11:6)
Re 13:16-17:  Despite the hardships we may encounter in carrying out such everyday activities as ‘buying or selling,’ we should not allow ourselves to be pressured into letting the wild beast rule our lives. Accepting ‘the mark of the wild beast in our hand or upon our forehead’ would amount to permitting the wild beast to control our actions or affect our thinking.
Re 13:18:   This wild beast has the number 666, denoting heightened imperfection. Understanding what the beast is helps us so that we neither follow it with admiration nor worship it as mankind in general does. (John 12:31; 15:19)
Re 14:1:  The 144,000 having the name of Jesus’ Father symbolically written are sealed ones made known they are Jehovah’s witnesses, His slaves. Having Jesus’ name indicates that they acknowledge being owned by Jesus and are his prospective “bride,” “a new creation” serving God with heavenly life. (Re 21:2, 9)
Re 14:3:  The 144,000 are the ones that are bought from the earth as firstfruits of the first resurrection, which the second death has no has no authority over them and “will be priests of God and of the Christ, and they will rule as kings with him for the 1,000 years.” (Re 21:6)
Re 14:6-7:  The angelic proclamation teaches us that we should declare the good news of the established Kingdom of God with urgency. We should help our Bible students to develop a healthy fear of God and to give glory to Jehovah.
Re 14:8: Warning to stay clear of “Babylon the Great” if we do not want to be destroy with her. The apostles Paul and Peter warned that many would succumb and a great apostasy would result. (Acts 20:29-30; 2Pe 2:1-3) We need to remember that they don’t worship Jehovah, or preach and have many false teaching.
Re 14:14-20:  When “the harvest of the earth,” will be time for the angel to hurl “into the great winepress of the anger of God” the gathering of “the vine of the earth.” That vine is Satan’s corrupt visible system of governments over mankind with its “clusters” of evil fruitage that will then be destroyed forever. We should be determined not to be influenced by the vine of the earth.
Re 16:2-3: There is a price to pay for those who accepting the mark of the beast. Unless they repent, this “hurtful” illness will be terminal, for it is Jehovah’s Day of Judgment. There is no neutral ground between being a part of the world’s system of things and serving Jehovah on the side of his Christ.(Lu 11:23; Jas 4:4)

Digging for Spiritual Gems | December 9-15 REVELATION 10-12

December 9-15

REVELATION 10-12

Re 10:9, 10—How was the message given to John both “bitter” and “sweet”? (it-2 880-881)

Symbolic Use. There are several instances of symbolic use of the word “scroll” in the Bible. Ezekiel and Zechariah each saw a scroll with writing on both sides. Since only one side of a scroll was commonly used, writing on both sides may refer to the weightiness, extent, and seriousness of the judgments written in these scrolls. (Eze 2:9–3:3; Zec 5:1-4) In the vision of Revelation, the one on the throne held in his right hand a scroll having seven seals, preventing detection of what was written until God’s Lamb opened them. (Re 5:1, 12; 6:1, 12-14) Later in the vision John himself was presented a scroll and was commanded to eat it. It tasted sweet to John but made his belly bitter. Since the scroll was open and not sealed, it was something that was to be understood. It was “sweet” to John to get the message contained therein but apparently had bitter things for him to prophesy, as he was told to do. (Re 10:1-11) Ezekiel had a similar experience with the scroll presented to him in which there were “dirges and moaning and wailing.”—Eze 2:10.

Re 12:1-5—How were these verses fulfilled? (it-2 187 ¶7-9)

In the apostle John’s vision in Revelation he saw a heavenly woman crying out “in her pains and in her agony to give birth.” The child born was “a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod.” In spite of the dragon’s efforts to devour it, “her child was caught away to God and to his throne.” (Re 12:1, 2, 4-6) The son’s being caught away by God would denote God’s acceptance of the child as his own, even as it was customary in ancient times to present a newborn child before its father for acceptance. (See BIRTH.) It would follow that the “woman” is God’s “wife,” the “Jerusalem above,” the “mother” of Christ and his spiritual brothers.—Ga 4:26; Heb 2:11, 12, 17.

God’s heavenly “woman” would, of course, be perfect, and the birth would be without literal pain. The labor pains would, therefore, symbolically indicate that the “woman” would realize that the birth was at hand; she would be in expectation of it shortly.—Re 12:2.

Who would this “son, a male,” be? He was to “shepherd all the nations with an iron rod.” This was foretold of God’s Messianic King, at Psalm 2:6-9. But John saw this vision long after Christ’s birth on earth and his death and resurrection. The vision would therefore appear to refer to the birth of the Messianic Kingdom in the hands of God’s Son Jesus Christ, who, on being raised from the dead, “sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet.”—Heb 10:12, 13; Ps 110:1; Re 12:10.

What does this week’s Bible reading teach me about Jehovah?

Re 10:1:  Jehovah the God of power can make one strong and even more powerful. For we see here the glorified Jesus Christ in another role as a “strong angel.”  Jesus received this from Jehovah has given “all authority . . . in heaven and on the earth,” according to Mt 28:18.  Yes all of Jesus miracles were done by Jehovah. (Acts 2:22 )

Re 10:3:  When Jehovah audibly proclaimed his purpose to glorify his own name in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, to many it sounded like thunder. (John 12:28-29) So it is reasonable to conclude that the ‘voices of the seven thunders’ are Jehovah’s own expression of his purposes. (Psalm 29:3; Re 4:5)

Re 10:4:  Jehovah has a appointed time when he wants certain messages to be release that is why Jehovah told John “Seal up …., anddo not write them down.’” That is why we have to wait for Jehovah to disclose his divine purposes for publication. Such revelations come only at Jehovah’s appointed time. (Lu 12:42; Da 12:8-9)

Re 10:6:  Jehovah God is the Source of all life and is the Creator and we exist because of his love for human and that why we should give him our exclusive devotion. Jehovah is the one who lives forever and has much wisdom that he can share with mankind. (Ex 20:11;Ne 9:6; Ps 146:6; Jas 1:5; Pr 2:6)

Re 10:7:  Jehovah the revealer of “sacred secret,” but only to those who are his own slaves. This sacred secret deal with promised made in Eden at Ge 3:15, which proved to be Jesus Christ and those who will rule with Jesus, which must be preach as good news. (Isa 54:1; Ga 4:26-28; Lu 8:10; Eph 3:3-9; Col 1:26, 27; Re 1:5, 6)

Re 11:1: The measure the temple sanctuary of God and the altar and those worshiping in it,” provided a guarantee that justice would be rendered on the basis of Jehovah’s perfect standards. Also it is a sign that nothing can prevent the fulfillment of Jehovah’s purposes regarding the temple arrangement.

Re 11:12:  Jehovah knows how to protect his faithful servants.  No matter what Christendom tries to harm Jehovah’s people after the year 1919 they were put out of her reach.  It was like Jehovah had said to them: “Come on up here,” and they had ascended to an elevated spiritual state where their enemies could see them but not touch them. (1Co 20:13)

Re 11:15:  Jehovah is “the king of eternity,” who will rule forever and forever. Jesus Messianic King, will thus fulfill Jehovah’s Word and vindicate his Father sovereignty and will subject himself too his God and Father so Jehovah may be all things to everyone. (1Co 15:28; 1Ti 1:17)

Re 11:16-17:  Jehovah is the one who deserved to be worship as shown by the 24 elder. Another reason to worship Jehovah is because he is God the Almighty and has the power to fulfill all his promises and no one can stop him.

Re 11:18:  Jehovah will not let mankind destroy the earth which is being destroy spiritually and physically with all the pollution that they are doing. If Jehovah was to allow it, there would be no way to fulfill his word at Gen 1:28 and would show Satan can undo Jehovah’s will or word.  So we can trust to fulfill his word according to Isa 55:11 and all the promises already fulfill.

Re 12:16:  When Jehovah chooses to do so, he can influence governmental authorities to accomplish his will. Fittingly, therefore, Proverbs 21:1 states: “A king’s heart is like streams of water in Jehovah’s hand. He directs it wherever He pleases.” This should strengthen our faith in God. (Re 17:17)

What other spiritual gems have you discovered in this week’s Bible reading?

Re 10:1-3:  1914 was time that Jesus was to stand up in a glorified Jesus Christ in another role as a “strong angel.” this rainbow on the angel’s head would identify him as a special peace messenger, Jehovah’s foretold “Prince of Peace” at Isa 9:6, 7.  As “the sun of righteousness,” Jesus shines forth for the benefit of those who fear Jehovah’s name. (Mal 4:2)

Re 10:5-6: Another scripture that show that Jesus is not part of a trinity. For we see the glorified Jesus swears, not by himself, but by the highest Authority of all, Jehovah, the immortal Creator of the heavens and the earth. (Isa 45:12, 18) Jesus shows he recognized  a greater authority and that one is his Father the Almighty God Jehovah.  (John 20:17)

Re 10:9-10:  The messages that Jehovah wants deliver is sweet to those who are sighing on account of the detestable things they seen and it give us a better everlasting hope for future. This message is bitter because it contains expressions of Jehovah’s judgments which spell doom too all who do not listen.

Re 11:8-11:  Anointed ones were symbolically killed when they were thrown into prison for a comparatively shorter period of time, a symbolic three and a half days. In the eyes of the enemies of God’s people, their work had been killed, causing those opponents much joy. Yet Jehovah breathed life into them and the preaching work was intensified.

Re 11:13:  The scriptures help us to understand that the “seven thousand” and the “tenth of the city” in Revelation 11:13 are those who respond to the restored two witnesses and abandon the sinful great city. (1Ki 19:14, 18; Isa 6:13; Ro 11:1-5) Today the number has grown over 8.5 million because they have responded to the messages of truth.

Re 11:15:  Another scripture that show that Jesus is not part of a trinity. For we see Jehovah is represented by the words “Kingdom of our Lord” who has a Christ by the words “his Christ.” This show two separate individuals and one belong to the other.

Re 12:4, 9, 17:  A warning not to under estimate Satan power to mislead us to doing wrong and ruining our relationship with Jehovah. For we see he drag a third of the stars or angels of heaven with him in his fall. We need Jehovah help and his organization to put a hard fight for Jehovah. (Gen. 6:1-4; Jude 6; 1Jo 5:19)

Re 12:7-8:  Show that Satan and his demons still has access to the heavens where Jehovah reigns with his Son and the angels. This happen with the birth of heavenly Kingdom power began in 1914.  We know this because of all the sign Jesus left us to see at Mt 24:3-9 and; Lu 21:7-11.

Re 12:12:  There is now total peace and unity in heaven because everyone there is doing God’s will.  Yet for the earth Satan is furious because he has been thrown out of heaven, and he knows he will be destroyed very soon.  So he now causing trouble, pain, and suffering all over the earth.  That is why we need to stay close to Jehovah.

Re 12:15: “The earth,” elements within Satan’s owns system or the ruling powers in various lands, upheld freedom of worship. Starting in the 1940’s, those powers “swallowed up the river of persecution that the dragon disgorged from its mouth.”

DIGGING FOR SPIRITUAL GEMS | December 2-8 REVELATION 7-9

DIGGING FOR SPIRITUAL GEMS
December 2-8
REVELATION 7-9
Re 7:1—What do the “four angels standing on the four corners of the earth” and “the four winds” represent? (re 115 ¶4)
4 No doubt, these four angels represent four angelic groups, whom Jehovah uses to hold back the execution of judgment until the appointed time. When the angels release those winds of divine wrath to whirl at one time from north, south, east, and west, the devastation will be tremendous. It will resemble, but on a stupendous scale, Jehovah’s use of the four winds to scatter the ancient Elamites, shattering and exterminating them. (Jeremiah 49:36-38) It will be a gigantic storm wind far more devastating than the “tempest” by which Jehovah annihilated the nation of Ammon. (Amos 1:13-15) No part of Satan’s organization on earth will be able to stand in the day of Jehovah’s fury, when he vindicates his sovereignty for all eternity to come.—Psalm 83:15, 18; Isaiah 29:5, 6.
Re 9:11—Who is “the angel of the abyss”? (it-1 12)
Abaddon, the angel of the abyss—who is he?
At Revelation 9:11, however, the word “Abaddon” is used as the name of “the angel of the abyss.” The corresponding Greek name Apollyon means “Destroyer.” In the 19th century there were efforts made to show that this text prophetically applied to individuals such as Emperor Vespasian, Muhammad, and even Napoleon, and the angel was generally regarded as “satanic.” It should be noted, however, that at Revelation 20:1-3 the angel having “the key of the abyss” is shown to be God’s representative from heaven, and rather than being “satanic,” he binds and hurls Satan into the abyss. Commenting on Revelation 9:11, The Interpreter’s Bible says: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding.”
In the Hebrew scriptures just considered, it is evident that ʼavad·dohnʹ is paralleled with Sheol and death. At Revelation 1:18we find Christ Jesus stating: “I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.” His power with regard to the abyss is shown at Luke 8:31. That he has destroying power, including the power of destruction over Satan, is evident from Hebrews 2:14, which says that Jesus partook of blood and flesh in order that “through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil.” At Revelation 19:11-16 he is clearly represented as God’s appointed Destroyer or Executioner.—See APOLLYON.
What does this week’s Bible reading teach me about Jehovah?
Re 7:1-3:  Jehovah has a set time to bring an end of all wickedness on the earth as we see here that the angles are holding back the winds of destruction until the sealing is completed. The living Jehovah call out “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.” May we be found doing the will of Jehovah. (1Th 5:3; 2Th 1:8-9; 2Pe 3:7; Pr 2:22)
Re 7:4:  Jehovah the great decision maker, who can read the hearts of mankind and see the love one shows for his name and loyalty they shown. That is why Jehovah has left the choosing of the anointed to himself, because they will have to rule over mankind with righteousness.  (Mk 10:40; Mt 10:23)
Re 7:11-12:  Jehovah is the only one shown in the heaven that should be worship because he is the creator and should also be praise and honor. We should give praise and thanksgiving and honor too Jehovah as we observe the fulfillment of Jehovah’s purpose, for this mean our deliverance is near. (Ex 20:5; Mt 4:10)
Re 7:17:  Jehovah’s great love for mankind is demonstrated in this verse for he wants to take away all our anxieties, illness, fears, and even death. Jehovah care about us and after the Thousand Year Reign of Jesus he will fulfill his promise. (Re 21:3-4; Isa 25:8, 1Co 15:54-55)
Re 8:3-4:  Jehovah the hearer of prayer no matter where one is in heaven or earth. We can be confident as long as our prayers are according to his will Jehovah, he answer our prayers but maybe not answer in the way we wanted. May we put our trust in Jehovah for he is our eternal Rock? Ps. 65:12, 141:2, 145:18; Isa 26:4; Acts 10:31)
What other spiritual gems have you discovered in this week’s Bible reading?
Re 7:4:  Not all good people go to heaven, for we see here it is only 144,000 are spoken as brought from the earth to be priests and king of Jehovah. Also they does not get to choose to be one of the anointed for it is Jehovah who does the choosing. (Re 14:1, 3, 5:9, 20:6; Mk 10:40; Mt 10:23)
Re 7:5-8:  This is speaking of spiritual Israel because the tribes of Ephraim and Dan are omitted most likely because of misconduct.  Also the nation of Israel as whole was abandon according to Jesus and they reject Jesus the Son of God. (Mt 21:49, 23:38; Lu 13:35; Jer 31:31-33; Heb 8:8-12)
Re 7:9-10:  This great crowds should strengthen our faith that imperfect human can have salvation because of Jehovah and what his Son Jesus did for us by laying his life down for us. We must not ever let our faith dwindle because of our mistake, for Jehovah want all to live and can forgive in a large way. (Isa 55:7; Ps 103:12-13; 2Pe 3:9)
Re 7:10:  Another scripture that show that Jesus is not part of a trinity. For we see two separate individual we owe our salvation too. Jehovah who set into motion the way to get mankind into good relationship and his Son who was willing to give his life for us.
Re 7:13-14:  The 24 elders represent the 144,000 in their heavenly glory, but only one of the elders reveals to John the identity of the great crowd. So the resurrection of anointed Christians must have begun sometime before 1935, because in that year the correct identity of the great crowd was made known to God’s anointed servants on earth. (Lu 22:28-30; Re. 4:4; 7:9)
Re 7:14-15:  The great crowd survived the great tribulation is because they are exercised faith in Jesus the ransom and are servicing Jehovah day and night because the preaching is being done around the world.
Re 7:16:  This cannot be talk about literal hungry and thirsty since Christians in the first century did suffer literal hunger and thirst at times. (2Co 11:23-27; 1Co 4:11) Spiritual fulfillment for the great crowd and the anointed Christians, they enjoy bounteous spiritual provisions. (Isa 65:13)
Re 8:5:  Jesus told his disciples: “I came to start a fire on the earth” at Lu 12:49. So this symbolic fire set the anointed Christians afire and began a worldwide preaching campaign that made God’s Kingdom a burning issue and truths about Jehovah and his will.
Re 8:6-12:  The sounding of the trumpets represents fearless proclamations of Jehovah’s judgments against Satan’s world by God’s people in cooperation with the angels. This began with the Cedar Point, Ohio, convention in 1922 and will lasts all the way down to the great tribulation.
Re 9:10. 19:  The authoritative Bible-based statements in the publications of “the faithful and discreet slave” contain a stinging message. (Matt. 24:45) This message corresponds to the locusts’ tails that have “stings like scorpions” and the horses of a cavalry, whose “tails are like serpents,” because these publications warn of the day of Jehovah’s vengeance. (Isa. 61:2) Let us be courageous and zealous in distributing them.
Re 9:20-21:  Many meek people who live in so-called non-Christian nations have responded well to the message we proclaim. Yet we are not expecting a mass conversion of people outside the realm of Christendom, who are referred to as “the rest of the people.”
Re 9:20:  Show that idols used in worship of God is not acceptable. That is why we are told at 1Co 10:14 to “flee from idolatry,” if we want our worship to be acceptable to Jehovah. We need to remember that idols can’t speak, hear, smell, walk and save anyone. (Ps 115 4-7, 135:15-19; 1Jo 5:21)
