What does this creation teach us about endurance?

It teaches us that in good times we can store biblical knowledge so to speak for when difficulties come and we can be spiritually strong like the camel that stores fat or the water that drinks at its appropriate times. 

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

Well, like the camel, we now have a lot of information that we can also absorb like that water and that can also be kept in our mind for a long time, months or even years, as well as the camel stores its fat and this especially will help us in moments of scarcity perhaps in a persecution or when we are isolated from valuable study tools, so the fact that we now absorb all that information can help us for weeks or months of scarcity.

What does this creation teach us about endurance?

This pine has the ability to grow in harsh and hostile environments where many other plants would die very easily and it is designed to make the most of a difficult environment, for example its roots extend as far as possible to capture all the possible water.

Just as those roots are what help us to stay alive, we must also analyze what our foundations are, our foundation must be solid so that our faith is strong and we can survive many adversities. 

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

As already said, now we have many difficult circumstances and it is possible that in the future we will have more, but while other trees cannot survive in the same environment that we survive, if we are well rooted, if our spiritual foundation is strong, we can surely even thrive. in the midst of situations that may make other people stagger.

Although perhaps they no longer have their wings complete, the video mentioned perhaps only 70% of them still fly, this teaches me that Jehovah always helps us to endure the difficulties we go through, so what I should do is trust Jehovah and always seek his help and keep holding on. 

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

Well, like the butterfly, our ability to do some things is not going to depend on having the appropriate circumstances because they also face a different climate, but rather they make their migration every year faithfully, we can achieve it through the spirit of Jehovah the help that he gives us and trusting precisely in him and not in our wings like the butterfly.

If Jehovah created the Arctic tern with a biological guidance system then this teaches us that we need Jehovah’s guidance to follow the path that leads to eternal life. 

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

Like the tern, it is possible that in this system of things we have to move due to some circumstances or our constancies change drastically and we have to make journeys through this system due to diseases due to conflicts or because of our own faith we have to go through difficulties but Jehovah The Bible has given us the ability to guide ourselves with his word, so if we are always oriented with his word, the Bible with the organization and the advice that we get from it, no matter the migrations that this life makes us give, we will surely succeed.

Also the way it flies is still a mystery there is no such explanation Just as we too can go through many difficulties and for others it would be a mystery because we survive but it is always because Jehovah has acted in favor of all of us.

What it teaches us is that such a small animal can withstand such pressure from larger animals such as Elephants or Buffaloes, it is actually surprising to see how those guts have that courage to face them and defend their nest and their chicks.

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

This little bird taught me that it does not depend on my size or that of my enemy but on maintaining resistance and in my case facing my enemy with Jehovah because it will not be by my power but by the help that comes from Jehovah.

Acacias have long thorns and a thick and hard bark that helps them resist and protect themselves, on the other hand, they also grow in groups and become dense thickets to face the adversities of the climate.

How can we show similar endurance in our life as Christians?

Developing strong solid friendships intertwined so to speak with faithful spiritual brothers who have a good influence in our life.

16. How does Jehovah feel about his sheep?

As an example, when a father of a family for some reason entrusts his children with someone for a short time, because he not only entrusts them but also keeps watch over them, in the same way Jehovah does not forget to be attentive to the needs of his little sheep, so Jehovah is always watching and caring for his people. 

16. How were “the shepherds of Israel” in Ezekiel’s day treating the flock?

Unlike what Jehovah would expect, these shepherds were cruel, they were tyrants, they were harsh, they mistreated the flock and obviously that bothered a lot.

Chapter 34 in verses one through six gives a very vivid description of how they were starving them while they ate the best portions and speaking of the health of verse 4 it mentions that they had neither healed the sick nor strengthened the sick. weak and fewer had gone to look for the one who was lost, as the paragraph mentions, they were scoundrels who ruled the people like that.

They had the responsibility to take care of them but they did the opposite, they worried about themselves to feed themselves and they neglected the sheep.

And the end result was logical after all this mistreatment many of these sheep ended up abandoning pure worship.

17. How did Jehovah rescue his sheep?

In the year 607 he used the Babylonians, they invaded the country and took, so to speak, the sheep of these selfish shepherds and 70 years later he returned to rescue them when he took him out of Babylon and took them back to his land.

It all teaches us that Jehovah is not slow for his promise, he loves his sheep very much, he was even willing to twice in ancient history how he is seeing to make the necessary changes of government so that his sheep were, this teaches us that Jehovah is always aware of his faithful servants and he is also aware of those who are mistreating his people gives us the guarantee and absolute certainty that Jehovah can intervene at any time to free his faithful and beloved sheep.

And it is evident the difference between this new shepherd that Jehovah’s sheep had and the shepherds that they had in their time who did not take care of them who had forgotten them, here it was the opposite, it was a shepherd who was making a pact of peace and Jehovah with them. I assure that they would have showers of blessings, the drawing in the Illustration clearly shows how it would be a shepherd who was there in front of his sheep, taking care of their path, guiding them, being with them and protecting them, that is what Jehovah was about to put into this nation.

In the image we can see how the shepherd will take care of all the dangers that exist, it is also seen that they will have authentic security, abundance and not only it is seen that there will be peace between humans but it is also promised that there will be peace between the people and animals too.

As I analyze all this, it motivates me to continue to make calls to people who are oppressed to tell them what Jehovah is like, Jehovah is a God who cares deeply about people and how Jehovah has already shown that he has done many things for them to people can have an excellent pastor. 

Also in the image we can see how well nourished these sheep are, they were no longer going to be hungry, they were not going to be sick, we do not see any sheep that is sick or lost, this spoke about the abundant spiritual food that this shepherd was going to give at the appropriate time.

20, 21. (a) How is the prophecy about “my servant David” fulfilled? 

This began because when Jesus was here on earth he demonstrated an unparalleled love for Jehovah’s sheep, no one had ever laid down his life for these sheep before and Jesus did, then from that very moment it began to be seen that he was going to be a king. wonderful because everything he did he did with the love that characterized Jehovah an unending love a divine love and now that Jesus is in heaven he can extend that to all of us.

So it is fitting that Jesus is given the term an excellent shepherd, an excellent shepherd never neglects his sheep and Jesus has not neglected his sheep either yet since heaven has proven to be an active shepherd who is attentive to the needs of the sheep and each of us can say that we have proven it.

Part of the shepherd’s job is to feed the sheep feed the flock, in the case of Jesus Christ he has taken care that we do not lack spiritual food that is nutritious since he was installed as king he appointed a faithful and prudent slave who will take care to give us what is necessary and thanks to this all his flock has an atmosphere of peace and security in a spiritual paradise.

And it is very moving to see how Jesus Christ in his role as shepherd fulfills not only feeding but also making sure that the food is nutritious for his little sheep and today we can feel that Jehovah’s organization takes care of us and feeds us in this way.

Having so much abundant spiritual food from our Lord Jesus Christ helps us to promote an environment of peace and security in this paradise that we demonstrate with our actions that we are grateful that we not only feed ourselves but that we benefit by putting into practice what we learn.

20, 21. (b) What do Ezekiel’s words about “a covenant of peace” mean for the future?

Yes, when the benefits of this covenant are fully received and the entire planet is a paradise, everything that at this moment causes us anguish sometimes causes us concern, everything will be a thing of the past, it will have been eliminated and Jehovah has proven with his King Jesus that he will and we can enjoy a land turned into a paradise.

Sheep are among the most delicate animals, they are easily scared and vulnerable to many dangers Ezekiel 34:28 says that in the new world Jehovah’s flock will no longer be the prey of the nations the wild animals will not devour them they will live safely without being scared by anyone then in the new world wars crime hunger, any of the problems we face today will be something that no longer happens and that will give us peace as Jehovah’s flock.

We are convinced that what we have already seen on a small scale, we do not doubt that it will be fulfilled on a large scale and still with things that Jehovah will not stop surprising us. 

22. How does Jesus feel about the sheep, and how can those serving as undershepherds reflect his concern?

It has become clear that what he feels is a very great love, he was willing to give himself up for the sheep, we are deeply concerned about our food in a spiritual sense and he is making all the arrangements so that in the future there are no diseases or anything like that. make us tremble, so we are very happy to have him as the overseer of our souls.

And a proof of what a good shepherd Jehovah is is the way we feel under his care when we think of Jesus and how he is the pastor, we feel protected cared for, it gives us pleasure and peace of mind to know that he is in charge of the congregation. and what is the king.

How do humans who have the mission of shepherding the sheep imitate Jesus?

If these brothers imitate the pastor Jesus Christ since they take care of us with affection and tenderness and willingly and with determination, then they are an example for the flock.

And the elders should reflect the same concern that Jesus showed in willingly doing everything with effort and being examples to the flock.

1 Peter 5: 3 | The attitude that we should have before the sheep of Jesus, we will never try to lord it over them thinking that they are ours, but on the contrary willingly with the correct reasons and in the best way we will endeavor to copy Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 34:10 | There the warning is used, Jehovah says I will ask them to account that means that he is aware of the results so we can say that as elders we always have to deliver healthy, well cared for and happy sheep.

And it is beautiful to see how our elders in the congregation do it not simply out of fear of what Jehovah is going to hold them accountable if they do not do it out of love because they are eager to show us the affection they have for us to take care of us by responsibility that they have before Jehovah but mainly for the love of neighbor as well.

And it is a blessing that Jehovah has entrusted his little sheep to be in charge, for example the elderly, although they also have difficulties, they have also lost their loved ones but they set aside a little time to make the visits of encouragement and how much they strengthen us when we receive these visits.

Numbers 30:10-12​—How do we know that Elkanah approved of Hannah’s vow to offer Samuel to Jehovah’s service? (1Sa 1:11; it-2 28 ¶1)

Persons could be devoted to Jehovah’s exclusive service in connection with the sanctuary. It was a right that parents could exercise. Samuel was one such person, promised to tabernacle service by a vow of his mother Hannah before his birth. This vow was approved by her husband Elkanah. As soon as Samuel was weaned, Hannah offered him at the sanctuary. Along with him, Hannah brought an animal sacrifice. (1Sa 1:11, 22-28; 2:11) Samson was another child specially devoted to God’s service as a Nazirite.​—Jg 13:2-5, 11-14; compare the father’s authority over a daughter as outlined in Nu 30:3-5, 16.

What spiritual gems from this week’s Bible reading would you like to share regarding Jehovah, the field ministry, or something else?

Numbers 30:2-9, 31: This shows the authority that Jehovah granted to the head of household the husband. We see hear that Jehovah granted the husband the authority to nullified a vow made by his wife or daughter made without his permission and it becomes known to him and for whatever reason he feel it was not a wise vow.  We should appreciate the headship arrangement since Jehovah is ultimate head and we need to listen to him because it does affect our future life.  (1Co 11:3; 15:27-28; Eph 5:24-25; 1Pe 3:12)


Numbers 30:  We may wonder are Christian obligated to keep their vow to Jehovah since they are not under the Law? Yes Christian must keep their vow to Jehovah for we are told by his Jesus at Mt 5:33 ”you must pay your vows to Jehovah.”  Yes, even if the vow we make to Jehovah is going to be painful, we still must honor our word to Jehovah, like Jephʹthah who beloved daughter who came out to meet him upon his victorious return. The vow we make today is our dedicating our life to Jehovah and to do his will. (Ps 50:14, 17; Ec 5:4; Jg 11:30-34; Mt 16:24; Col 3:20)


Numbers 30: One of the main reasons we must keep our vow to Jehovah is because if we do not keep a vow we are sinning against Jehovah. Yes, we are told at De 23:21 ‘If you make a vow to Jehovah your God, do not be slow about paying it. For Jehovah your God will surely require it of you; otherwise, it will be a sin on your part. We can be sure that no sinner will enter Jehovah’s Kingdom. (Ec 5:4, 6; Jg 11:35; 1Co 6:9-10)


Numbers 31:8, 16-17:  We see Jehovah execution of Divine Judgment upon the ungodly. Like the Israelites loose conduct cause 24,000 to die because of Balaam counsel. Also Jehovah’s judgement day came for Balaam who met a violent death by the hands of the ones he supposed to curse. Also we see in verse 16 &17 Mid-i-an-ites woman was kill because they had relations with the Israelites.  Yet there is a larger Judgment Day of Jehovah coming for all those who are not on his side and who did not listen to the god news. (2Th 1:6-9;; Ro 2:8; Re 19:11-18; 16:16; 2Pe 3:5-7; Mt 24:36-39)


In chapter 30 I am very grateful to Jehovah that he greatly values ​​the service I give him and the vows I make to him, he does not see me as part of a group but individually as a woman as a wife and not only that it also helps me fulfill them. 

In number 31: 2 Jehovah orders to exact revenge on the Midianites they were not among the nations that Jehovah was going to remove from Israel, however due to their reckless behavior Jehovah ordered to annihilate them, this story helps me to see that Jehovah He will not leave unpunished those nations that treat our brothers unjustly at present and prevent them from serving him freely. It also makes me trust that in the future when Gob de Magob rises up against his people, Jehovah will also act as the great deliverer.

In chapter 30 verse 1 uses the expression Jehovah has ordered here I see that it is Jehovah’s love behind those clear orders for his nation, today Jehovah also guides us by his love and he does it through an organization world.

And now it is like there are many people who do not believe in religion because religious leaders seek only to earn money for their own interest but in numbers 31 verses 28 to 30 it is shown that Jehovah is different because by dividing the spoils he demonstrated his generosity in keeping the least of it allowing his people to enjoy the best.

Verses 49 and 50 of chapter 31 mention that the men in charge of the army wanted to make a thank offering, the interesting thing is that they had already given part of the spoil to Jehovah as an obligatory tax but their gratitude prompted them to give more, In my case, reading the Bible daily, attending meetings and preaching is part of my mandatory service, but true gratitude should motivate us to seek new ways to expand our services.

In numbers 30:16 we see Phineas in action again, what he teaches me about this man is that it is not only a single act that will determine that he has the approval of Jehovah but, like this faithful servant, be willing to worship Jehovah with all my heart every day and let him know that so to speak he is counting on me to take care of any assignment.

In numbers chapter 31 verse 18 we see how Jehovah forgave some 32 Midianite women because they were not contaminated with men, so this can also teach us how it is that Jehovah was not seeing crowds only Midianites he saw people he paid attention to loyalty that these women demonstrated even when they were surrounded by people or Israelites who invited them to sin, how reassuring it is to see that in our case Jehovah also does not forget us, he also looks at the loyalty that each of us personally demonstrate while we are living in this dominated world by Satan.

In numbers 30:18 it speaks of Balaam’s death finally and we can see that although he was able to see Jehovah’s power in action this did not make him a worshiper of his, he stubbornly continued after the greed after the wealth that he was promised to oppose Jehovah, so ultimately Jehovah had to execute judgment against him by destroying him.

Chapter 31 verse 2 Jehovah uses such simple words to refer to death when he says Moses will be reunited with your people when Jesus was on earth, he used simple words when he said that Lazarus was sleeping or was resting for Jehovah, it is not difficult to give life again to people who have died this verse helps me to be able to teach people so that they too see that Jehovah has all the power to be able to give life again to his loved ones who have died. 

In numbers 31: 9 it is related how the Israelites took prisoner children and women from Midian, a situation for which Moses was upset and corrected them, the Israelites had not understood the seriousness of the situation even because they had died a short time ago Perhaps 24,000 of them were carried away by emotions and believed that what they were doing was not so bad, but their bad example helps me to see how important it is not to get carried away by my emotions but that to make wise decisions it is necessary to train my ability of discernment to distinguish right from wrong. 

Numbers chapter 30 verse 31 to 40 we also see how it is that Jehovah’s vengeance is controlled since he did not kill everyone equally speaking of the Midianites and we can also see it just that this revenge is since the distribution of the spoil brought benefit but only to those who demonstrated trust in him.

Israelite vows were voluntary but binding (Nu 30:2; it-2 1162)

Vows may include abstaining from things not prohibited (Nu 30:3, 4; it-2 1162)

A solemn promise made to God to perform some act, make some offering or gift, enter some service or condition, or abstain from certain things not unlawful in themselves. A vow was a voluntary expression made of one’s own free will. Being a solemn promise, a vow carried the force of an oath or a swearing, and at times the two expressions accompany each other in the Bible. (Nu 30:2; Mt 5:33) “Vow” is more the declaration of intent, while “oath” denotes the appeal made to a higher authority attesting to the truthfulness or binding nature of the declaration. Oaths often accompanied attestation to a covenant.​—Ge 26:28; 31:44, 53.

Jehovah now deals with his worshippers individually (Nu 30:6-9; w04 8/1 27 ¶3)

30:6-8​—Can a Christian man set aside his wife’s vows? With regard to vows, Jehovah now deals with his worshipers individually. For example, dedication to Jehovah is a personal vow. (Galatians 6:5) A husband does not have the authority to set aside or cancel such a vow. A wife, though, should avoid making a vow that conflicts with God’s Word or her duties toward her husband.

The two most important vows a Christian can make today are the dedication vow and the marriage vow.

ASK YOURSELF, ‘Am I living up to the vows that I have made?’ (w01 2/1 pp. 14-19 10)

10 How do we view our dedication to God to do his will? Is it the first thing in our life? Regardless of our circumstances, whether young or old, married or single, healthy or sick, we should strive to live up to our dedication, in accordance with our circumstances. One person’s situation may allow him to serve in the full-time ministry as a pioneer, as a volunteer in a branch office of the Watch Tower Society, as a missionary, or in the traveling ministry. Some parents, on the other hand, may have their hands full, caring for the physical and spiritual needs of the family. Are their relatively few hours spent in the ministry each month worth any less in Jehovah’s eyes than the many hours spent by a full-time servant? No. God never expects from us what we do not have. The apostle Paul stated this principle: “If the readiness is there first, it is especially acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what a person does not have.”​—2 Corinthians 8:12.

Numbers 26:55, 56​—How did Jehovah demonstrate wisdom when distributing the land inheritance among the tribes? (it-1 359 ¶1-2)

It thus appears that the distribution of the land among the tribes was governed by two factors: the result of the casting of the lot, and the size of the tribe. The lot may have established only the approximate location of the land inheritance each tribe would have, thus designating an inheritance in one section or another of the land, such as to the N or S, E or W, along the coastal plain, or in the mountainous region. The decision of the lot proceeded from Jehovah and hence would serve to prevent jealousy or quarreling among the tribes. (Pr 16:33) By this means God would also guide matters so that the situation of each tribe would fall in accordance with the inspired deathbed prophecy of the patriarch Jacob recorded at Genesis 49:1-33.

After the casting of the lot had determined the geographic location of a tribe, it would then be necessary to determine the extent of its territory on the basis of the second factor: its proportionate size. “You must apportion the land to yourselves as a possession by lot according to your families. To the populous one you should increase his inheritance, and to the sparse one you should reduce his inheritance. To where the lot will come out for him, there it will become his.” (Nu 33:54) The decision of the lot as to the basic geographic location would stand, but adjustment could be made as to the size of the inheritance. Thus, when Judah’s territory was found to be too large, its land area was reduced by assigning portions of it to the tribe of Simeon.​—Jos 19:9.

It thus appears that the distribution of the land among the tribes was governed by two factors: the result of the casting of the lot, and the size of the tribe. The lot may have established only the approximate location of the land inheritance each tribe would have, thus designating an inheritance in one section or another of the land, such as to the N or S, E or W, along the coastal plain, or in the mountainous region. The decision of the lot proceeded from Jehovah and hence would serve to prevent jealousy or quarreling among the tribes. (Pr 16:33) By this means God would also guide matters so that the situation of each tribe would fall in accordance with the inspired deathbed prophecy of the patriarch Jacob recorded at Genesis 49:1-33.
