2018 JW Annual Meeting Announcements (New Light, Updates and New Provisions)

The 2018 Annual Meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses is over. It was held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the World Headquarters at Warwick, New York. But even before this, we posted some of the things we expect as well as speculations.

Below is a highlight of what is discussed. It contains new light, improvement of meetings, new publications and some organizational updates.

* The yeartext for 2019 will be taken from Isaiah 41:10. It states, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’” It is not yet revealed which portion of this scripture will be used. Do you think it will be “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God.”?

*”Russia and its allies” is the “king of the north” (Daniel 11:40)

*All missionaries that have been in the field for more than 5 years will have the privilege to attend the School for Kingdom Evangelizers or SKE.

New Publications

Also, a brochure entitled Apply Yourself to Reading and Teaching was released. It contains concise instruction on 20 essential study points for effective reading and teaching. There will be 20 videos to accompany each study points that will help us learn how we can apply this new informations. This new brochure will replace the book Benefit From Theocratic Ministry School Education. It will be used starting January 2019. One study point and video will be discussed during the first midweek meeting of each month until the entire brochure has been considered. Since this is a brochure, it will consist of 24 pages. It is also available in 350 spoken languages and sign languages. It will be available on jw.org, JW Library, JW Library Sign Language, and Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY.

Another publication was also announced during the Annual Meeting. This time, it’s a book that examines the prophecies of the Bible book of Ezekiel. It is entitled Pure Worship of Jehovah—Restored At Last! There will be videos to introduce each chapter of the book. Since this is a book, it will consist of 240 pages. This book will be available first in English while other languages will follow. You can download it on jw.org, JW Library, and Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY when it became available very soon.
