Jesus set good examples for his followers by rejecting offers for political office. Early Chris-tians avoided all political involvement. If to qualify for certain types of employment a person must be registered as eligible to vote, provided he does not indicate any political affiliation. This may simply be the community’s way of asking an individual to go on record as a citizen.
