“Jehovah Turns Persecution Into a Witness”

What persecution did Brother Mikhaylov experience?

The authorities went to search his house and he was later sentenced to preventive detention, once in prison he was interrogated and asked for information about his siblings and, additionally, the brother commented that for several months he was physically and emotionally mistreated.

They wanted our brother Dimitri to stop being loyal to Jehovah so much that they put him in a pressure cell to especially make him say who his fellow Christians were, his addresses, his jobs, and the like so for sure He was subjected to very strong pressure.

And we see that this situation not only affected him but also his wife, we see it there in the video as she says he that by his words perhaps he thought that he had already lost him.

How did Jehovah help Brother Mikhaylov to endure?

Inside this detention center he was able to obtain a Bible, Jehovah gave him peace by answering his prayers and as we see in the image his wife sent him many letters that helped him see things as Jehovah sees them.

Yes, the prisoners also asked him questions about the Bible, so when he answered them this also helped him to maintain a positive attitude.

And the letters from his wife say that he read them as if it were Jehovah himself who was speaking to her.

In one of these letters, his wife reminded him that even while in prison, Jehovah still loved him that Jehovah was very aware of him and how he felt and reminded him that if he continued to trust Jehovah, he could feel secure, stable and calm if we imagine being in Such a situation receiving a letter like this with these words definitely fills us with strength.

How did Jehovah use the persecution of Brother Mikhaylov to give a witness to other prisoners?

On one occasion one of them asked him why he did not use images if he said he was a Christian, and then the brother shows him with the Bible why not what Jehovah thought about the images and Jehovah helped him because he saw the answer he saw how the word of God influenced this prisoner in his companion and then one day he told him I did not use images either, this is how Jehovah strengthens him.

In countries like these where humans are persecuted, people could have a wrong idea about the Witnesses, but this man who wrote the letter was able to verify the love that Jehovah’s Witnesses have that far from being radical or that we persecute or do wrong we show each other true love in a world full of hate.

If it is interesting that these same men who initially opposed him or made his stay there in prison a little difficult, now they were interested in what he himself analyzed from the Bible, so much so that part of what he also wrote to him One of them is that he was surprised and that he did not imagine that they would love him and will value him as much as he did, that therefore he had to feel in a special way.

Another opportunity they had to bear witness is that when he left prison he and his wife brought food to the prisoners, then the love that Jehovah has for everyone was clearly seen.
